I've heard of people losing two or three mpg by deleting the egr, but I changed too much stuff at one time to really say if I lost any or not. If you decide to keep it, I would suggest not using the pacesetter headers. The egr tube on mine would NOT fit. I ended up removing the header and cutting off the tube. I've heard of other people having problems with it as well. Otherwise, they seem to be pretty good headers for the money.

IMO ditch the egr. After a good tune for the headers and egr delete you shouldnt notice it. Mine did not make a difference at all when i got rid of egr. Plus your intake will stay cleaner inside and the egr tube has been pegged as the main cause of the dreaded lt1 intake leak. And you can take off they A.I.R. system also if it isnt gone already.

If you do not have emmissions in your area get the race headers.
The egr problem can be easily fixed with an egr tube gasket and copper seal.(just trim off the other ear)
The biggest problem is that the air tubes fall off after a few years of dd use, like I have just found out myself.

They crack around the welds and fall off.
I had mine on just over 2 years Daily driven in Florida.
Mine were uncoated and there is VERY little rust on them, no rot. I took the black paint off and painted them with high temp paint before install.
The metal still looked good. It just looked like the failure was from metal fatigue from the welding process, and both broke off the same exact way.
First side to fall off was the drivers side. I was able to fix it on the car.
Passenger side fell off yesterday. I am taking the passenger side off to get it fixed and to make sure the egr does not fall off next.

Get coated race style and get them from one of the sponsors. Youll pay much less then summits price. I believe texas speed is pretty cheap $359 for coated headers and $125 for the ory.
