My future wife and I are hunting for something different, maybe even pre-69 with no emmisions, no exhaust legalities, side pipes if I wanna, low 10s on motor with AC and a backseat...can you say 572 big block
Anywho this group has been awesome, I've learned a lot here, shared a lot of experiences and will probably be logging on here drunk tonight

Thanks Bro, I doubt it'll be an LT car, although I've only had one opti go bad on this crazy engine setup and have had relatively good luck with an LT1 I'm moving on to something different, with her two daughters I'd love to be able to crate em around to Sonic or hit the track. I like the idea of a drag car and street car, I love the idea of the new Camaro and am saving for it primarily, but there is just something nice about an old school muscle car and there simplicity. Yet I love the modern stuff. I absolutely have no idea what I'll get...

67-68 Firebird (all the first gen support without the premium of a camaro, plus they look really good, dont go 69 though they are ugly)
71-72 Nova (If you can deal with the look of the single lights, you can pick these up real cheap compared to the 1970s and earliers, plus the novas are pretty light cars)
Those are some of my favorites, that I can actually afford

Congratulations on the marriage, but your best car days are probably over now dude!
To answer your question; The Opti is actually a “rare lizard” in the Australian outback!

well I could find a nice family vehicle like a slow *** LSXX black 02 WS6 RamAir T/A 6spd with low mileage and stock. And just leave it the hell alone...maybe a cam...down the road a 427.....12 bolt....sighhhh...there I go again....actually I'd just leave it alone until my wife (4.5 hours from now) buys the new 09 Camaro ...then I could fix up the TA...iffin I got one

Congrats.
I am only 30yo been with the old lady almost 11 years and married going on 8 of those, I don't regret a minute of it.
She has recently taken an interest in the car, hoping this makes it easier to spend money on it since it is becoming "our hobby" as opposed to just mine.
