Default Got My LS1 Lid Fitted Nicely

Was messing with it earlier. Still need a aftermarket lid and a damn hood that it will all fit under. lol. Im hoping revelation z28 will chime in and let me know his hood brand or another that works. Im using the LS1 rad support. Just trimed it all down nicely barely even looks like it was ever cut. Hopefully i can find a beat up cheapo cowl hood and get it all on there.

Nice!

I did a lot more trimming than that and got it to fit under a ws6 hood. Alls I had to do was take a dremel to 2 spots on the underside of the hood about the size of a quarter each. You can't see them while standing infront of or on the side of the hood, you gotta stick your head under and look up. It's right where the air inlets are on the hood. Clear lid and some bellows, it came out nice.

My setup is for sale sadly though. Can't use it with 2 turbos

Ive got a kit on the way to convert mine LT1 air intake to the LS1 style. What did you guys have to do to keep the fans from hitting the water pump? At the moment..I have the CSR EWP and the fans already have to be notched...if I have to lean the radiator back further Im really going to have to cut into the fan housing quite a bit...any other solutions?

for mine my fans are still the stock distance from the WP. but i know the electric wps are bigger. i didnt even have to lean my radiator back any more than what it was.

You gotta trim from the outside of the two inner holes casue the rad supprt is differant on the ls1 and it doesnt sit flat on the rad support on the lt1 unless its trimmed. I spent like 1 hour with a 90 degree grinder and a sanding disc and rough cut it and then went over it with 600 grit paper to clean it up and then cleaned up all the edges so it looks unmolested. Im happy with the way it turned out acutally just need a hood and a aftermarket lid and get it on there.

The rad support and lid fit under the octane motorsports hood rite?

It does..and to answer any other questions..I had to lean it back and support the Radiator, that is what the Stainless Steel pieces are for. It clears everything, just had to cut some metal out of the top of the Hood.

Very nice! Aftermarket lid and a hood and you'll be ready to rumble.

What color is your car?
