Mufflers are required for LTX Heads up Power Adder, LTX Heads up N/A (Naturally Aspirated), LTX Heads up 6-speed, and LTX Extreme Street classes. There's no restriction on the length of the headers or dB level just as long as it has mufflers and meets NHRA/IHRA specs.

I'm with you. I just want to know if my Dynomax 12" Bullet muffler off the y-pipe will be legal for the race. Because it really is LOUD!

According to the NHRA rule book, Rule 1:3 it is the member track that establishes a muffler requirement based on the class requirements (i.e. Super-Street 95 decibels at 50ft).

Considering we're not running NHRA classes, the NHRA rule book "does not" defind the muffler spec as you've stated. Therefore, more guideance will be needed on the mufflers for the event.

As long as it has a muffler you are good. Bullets are fine.
