I didnt dyno before and after my cam swap but I put down 330 at just 5900 through the automatic and to my knowledge bolt-on only automatics dyno like 280's ish I think so I figured around 50rwhp with the cam and rockers. Its a very noticible seat of the pants gain whatever it is.

not sure how much rwhp gain but it took over a second off my 1/4 mile times. that was with supporting mods. then with weight reduction and suspension, took another full second off.

mine made 325 rwhp going through a through a th400 and a 9". peak hp is not as important as making power and torque across the board.

That is definately the truth unless you just want a dyno queen.

I've been wondering- you guys with the 503.. what made you go with that specific comp cam as opposed to the 305 or 306 ?

went from 280rwhp with bolt-ons and an auto on a generous dyno, to 350rwhp through a 6spd and a 9" on a conservative dyno (made 380/380 elsewhere)

makes more torque all across the RPM-range than it did stock, and peaks 50ft-lbs more to boot!

You want a dyno queen, go buy a supra lol. I settled on this cam because i was looking for decent power, a cam that didnt need to be spun past 6500 rpm, and one with decent street manners. Even without a tune, this cam is very streetable. Its "the biggest you can go with stock heads, without losing usable power." And I wanted a CAM, something i would notice, something i could feel, and something i could hear. If you just want a power increase then use nitrous. If you want something that will change the way your car acts, then get a cam. This cam has a great idle lope, and once you lay the hammer down the thing pulls great.

Its an overall great cam, and you will be very happy with it. Plus when you get the cash for a good set of heads, this cam will really wake up.

the 306 is out of the 503's league and too much for a stock headed car and the 305 makes less power than the 503 and doesn't sound as good because the 114 lsa which is why I went with the 503.

My cat recently went through the same thing lol. She was all drugged up on kitty pain killers. She was stumbling around, and every time she went to get a drink she would start fallin asleep and i though she was going to drown in her water bowl.

After putting in my cam in the 96 and bumping the nitrous from 100 to 125 i gained .8 in the quarter. It definately waked that car up.

I saw 370 horse and torque with the 503, and this was with mild parts and mail order tune. It trapped a best of 111 on motor and 125 with a 150 shot.

The driveability was great and made plently of power under the curve.
