Cam Ideas
I am currently thinking about making my car either a cam only car or putting a set of ported heads with big valves and cam in the car. I have been tossing around some ideas but not really sure which cam I would like to go with.
Here are some details about my car so far:
CAI
pace setter long tubes
aftermarket y-pipe
flowmaster cat back
automatic with 3600 converter
3.42's
Basically looking for something to sound good and run good. I have seen several cam only cars with the GM 847 and CC306 cam in them. One of the CC306 cars is a friend of mine and has just the cam, headers and CAI and put 380rwhp down. It is also a 6 speed car which might help out a little. So I am really kinda leaning towards the CC306. I have been suggested a hot cam locally but don't really think it is gonna do what I want it to do. Just looking for opinions. Thanks for any info given.

Well being that it's an automatic Trans. car. I'd look into the GM847. It's a pretty good cam. I've heard alot of good and bad with the cc306. Mainly I have read it is good for a 6 speed car and not so good on an Auto car. I guess b/c the streetability is sacrificed with it. Instead, alot of people go with the cc305 when they have an Auto. Trans. Both will make good power but if your an auto and have stock cubes(350) I'd look into something a little different. The cc306 is mostly gonna give you higher rpm power and may make you rev really high to get the power from it. And on a stock bottom end thats not gonna hold very long.
6700rpm = RIP Stock LT1!
Good Luck Though
