Default why is oil being pushed out my valve cover breather?

the car is a 94 lt1 385 with a t76mm turbo, just kind of putted it down the road and came back, cause its not tuned, and there was some oil coming out the breather, why? should i have one in each valve cover? i only have one in the pass side.

Because your turbo and that increases crankcase pressures. You need to run a catch can setup or breathers on the valve covers. Bad thing about breathers only on the VC is that oil mist will get all over the place. I'm going to be doing this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...t=catchcan+lt1

ok ive been doin some research and i have a bullet muffler so i dont have much back pressure. could i use my exhaust as a vacuum and run this into both valve covers with a filter of some type to catch the oil, and maybe a one way valve just to be safe? would there be any disadvantages?

re connect your pcv at the drivers side only.
it will act like a vacuum pump and the baffles
on that side will keep most of the oil consumption
to a minimum compared to using breathers.

can we get a little more info about the car? did you just have the turbo installed or the motor built? or did you just buy the car? maybe i am wrong but it sounds like you are saying that the car is doing this under normal driving without any boost. you said the car is not tuned yet so i am assuming and hoping that you have not made boost yet with it. if so then unfortunately you may need to do a compression test. if the motor is new the rings may not be seated yet.
