Default P0300 Random/Multiple cylinder misfire WONT GO AWAY!

I have a 96 z28 and I cannot get the P0300 code to go away. I have changed the plugs, wires, distributor cap/rotor. Has anyone else had this same problem and can offer any suggestions?

Default Ignition module, coil, or (the dreaded) Opti

Those are the only things left - good luck!

The module and coil are both easy to get to; and you know (if you've already replaced the cap and rotor) about the Opti...

Sorry to confirm the worst.

i got the same code for years after i put in the hot cam, your not missfiring (unless you still have the stock cam) it's that the cam is just a little erratic and sets off the code. Its only in obd2 becouse of the crank pick up. Basically it has to be programed out or turned off.

i still have the stock cam sadly. I discovered that i need a new intake manifold gasket and one of my injectors is going bad yesterday. hopefully the leaky intake manifold gasket has something to do with the random misfire, i've heard that code can come up for quite a few different reasons. i should know by the end of today or tomorrow so i'll let you all know when i figure it out.

well- and the bad injector will cause it also b/c your car is just sucking air into the cylinder if the injector is not squirting, or if its squirting to much your flooding out that cylinder..
