Default Before I mess up something

I'm tired of my air deflector bottoming out, I mean it really hits...It's kind of embarrassing as well.
I'm thinking of trimming a inch or two from it.
Have any of you guys done this ?
I'm hoping it wont hurt cooling too much.
Any info or suggestions will be appreciated.

I always scrap mine to coming outta this one gas station, I never felt the need to cut mine. These cars are low and going out of a shitty spot will always scrape it. Just so you dont feel alone.

I saw this first hand, a buddy tryed it on his '97 TA for a couple of hours, removing it WILL make the motor run hotter, even in short trips, I have not seen what happens when it is trimmed, but I'll be dammed if I am the gunnie pig for that one. I agree that is very anoying when you scrape, espally for the dumb *** that never learns and has to fly over speed bumps and stuff.

I agree you need it or you'll run hot.

some kid has a v6 camaro near me, hes like

"YOU KNOW THAT STUPID PLASTIC THING UNDER YOUR CAR THAT BOTTOMS OUT ALL THE TIME?"

i say, "yeah... what about it?"

he said: "WELL I REMOVED IT CAUSE IT WAS PISSING ME OFF"

i chuckled... and said: "You kinda need that..."

he said: "NO WHY DO I?"

i said: "go drive down the interstate and let me know what happens to your temp gauge"

few days later.. he bought a new air dam.

GM wouldn't spend $$ unless they have to. but since you are lower.. makes the skirt lower.. so why not take an inch out?
