Ok i have been on this forum like 2 or 3 days and ask some ? and made some comments. Here is a small slide show of my new lt1 that way yall will have a lil idea of what im working on. Just about got it stripped how i want it besides the stuff i have to buy to make it lighter, and the motor is obvisually out and im getting that under way. Looking good man. Don't skimp out on parts....Reseach everything. TWICE if you have to! Thats the best way to build a car. Good Luck with your project....

I know the feeling. I always search the threads and online stores for parts and Ideas. As well as peoples combos and track times....I had it in my mind to have my Forged 383 stroker with a LE2 Package or maybe a LE2 Head & LE3 Cam setup, done before summer. BUT, due to my job slowing down and having a ton of bills get behind, and hospital bills and credit cards and Student Loans eating up my pay checks. I can't seem to do anything other than pay my rent and bills. But thats ok....I have a tax check coming really soon and DAMN IT. I'll have at least the bottom end done Then I'll worry about the other stuff.
But anyways I'm just rambling
But seriously- Good Luck with your build. I'm kinda dissapointed I can't get mine done before summer comes.

You're doing all this in an Apt Complex? I may remember wrong.

Yeah we're still on, depends on what vehicle I'll be bringing that way whether I'll get the hood or not. You do realize the stock hood is already pretty light?

-Rick

PS Its probably gonna be Sunday, I gotta finish up a few details on the Z.

After mine has been sitting over a year and I have been researching, looking, gathering and buildng (in my mind), I still have things to buy and have crossed many off the list. The one conclussion I did come to is to forge the bottom end, whether you need it or not. You are still in the same ballpark as going with non forged parts and it's great insurance!
