They are cheap looking, but probably functional. I purchased an HID kit for my bird, I wish I'd had projectors for it, oncoming drivers HATE me.

those are fake projectors. They are simply a reflective hole with a normal lamp installed. The light output will be garbage but they do look cool. Wait until you see what I have come up with. Hope to have pics tomorrow of my new headlight setup.

Yeah those don't look like projectors, just an H4 bulb conversion. I had a kit like that on but I switched back to silverstars. Wish we had more options!

I had SS' in the Formula. They were a let down. I'de just rather do an HID conversion and call it a day.

Somewhere I read an article about HD for our LT1's, but there were like $500.00 Plus this was brought up a couple of weeks ago, I say Research on the products, Again I was reading a test article about certain Headlights and yes some were very bright, had the bright white or bluish glow but had no distance.. Personally, I like to see as far ahead as possible running at speed

The silverstars are A LOT better than OEM headlights. I could see a lot more at night now, just not very far. and I had the headlights aimed properly with an aiming machine thats perfect. so

There is an article online somewhere ...you can unsolder the bulb out of the factory style light and solder in some BADASS bulb....do some looking around on the net, on here or CZ28.com.

I KNOW I saw it.

I need to find it, the lights on these cars SUCK!

somebody buy those for their bird and post pics, i don't care that they are sorta cheap looking, and not real projectors, anything to improve the pop up styling on lt1 birds is welcome!!!

Only reason they are better is because your stock bulbs were old. The silverstars are a minimal improvement over the standard halogen. they don't put out anymore lumens than a standard halogen, so technically they're not any brighter at all.

Actually the kit I have is different than the sponsors. That kit uses a HID lamp for the low beam and a halogen for the high beams. The arrangement will not show good results when you see a cutoff shot. There also is no shield for the HID lamp which is going to create a lot of glare.

My kit uses a movable shield with a solenoid to change how much light hits the bottom of the reflector. Much better optics and a true Hella housing to boot.

BTW, some teaser pics of the new setup - https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...02#post8533402

your setup is still far from ideal. It's still an H4 bulb in an H4 housing, except you're using an HID h4 bulb.

Granted it is not perfect. You could certainly argue that it has one of the best HID lamps into Halogen housing cutoffs with the available options the car has now. Take note of the shield which will not allow the light to reflect off the bottom of the housing limiting the glare most of the drops in create.

yeah it is one of the more ideal HID conversions, compared to say a 9004 bulb
