yes, they work very well.most of the Impala SS guys have done this swap and say the car idles much smoother etc. the clips that hold the injectors in place can be challenging cause they do not line up on the grooves like the Lt1 inj. do but our rails are bolted down and i do not see the need for them.
the Ls1 inj. do run at a higher fuel psi (50-55) but that is not a big deal either.

The 28lbs injectors most common on the LS1s are 28lbs at 58psi, at 43.5 psi the rated LT1 pressure they are just 24lbs basically the same as stock.
I am unaware of this being a popular mod with the Impala guys.
I also believe the LS1 injectors are shorter than the LT1, I can go out to the garage and double check.
I put some 32lbs LS1 injectors on my car because I got them dirt cheap and traded some parts for an adjustable regulator so I could turn up the pressure, currently running them about 50psi/30lbs. I stumbled on cheap and traded parts and made this work, that does NOT mean I recommend others go about it the same way. If the bank account were a little fatter I would probably buy some new matched injectors from Racetronix and put a new stock regulator back on it.
The injector size rating really needs to be considered with pressure. The SVOs are rated at 39psi so they act a little bigger in an LT1 application with stock LT1 pressure. 30lbs act like 31.7 if memory serves.
