Default Blowing Off Tb Elbow.....fixed

WELP GOT TIRED OF MY TB ELBOW BLOWING OFF WHEN UNDER BOOST SO I TOOK MY TB AND ELBOW OFF AND MADE SOME RINGS TO GIVE THE RUBBER TO GRAB



i havent had not one problem since i have done this,really helps the couplers grip

just was really carefull and used my cutoff wheel all the way around.rings are about a 1/8 deep.did this to my aluminum elbow also.

When i was having that issue I welded a ring on the TB on the edge .

Your idea looks good let us know how well it works!

Chevelle, another way you can do that is to weld around the entire thing. On both the elbow and TB. Make sure you use T-bolt clamps, they hold alot better than regular worm style clamps. They also stop boost leaks a lot better because of their positive seal.

thanks hopefully i can take it out to the track soon and see what she does. its a work in progress, but yeah i thought about getting everything i needed to weld a ring around them but the grooves were alot easier to do and of course....you cant beat free lol

T bolts, hair spray, and a bead and it should never come off.

I haven't done the hair spray yet on all mine, but I plan on doing it. I've hit 15lbs so far with the GTS76 and haven't popped one off yet.

yeah i have had the car for ten years..and was actually my first car.it went from stock 307 to 350 to 307 to 400 to 383 then the lt1 lol .it has been an lt1 car for little over 5 years now
lol so what does the hairspray do?
