There's a sensor in the driver's side head for temp...but im guessing since you were on the passenger side of the engine (since you removed the PCM and noticed), you're talking about the passenger side head. Let us know which head, and what merv said.

Sounds like something someone put in.. I don't remember anything Factory in the Head besides the Water Temp Sensor in the Front Drivers Side..

The EVAP Solenoid is over in that area on top of the Head.. Red Connector.

I believe what you're looking at is the wiring to a fan switch, like the JET Performance Fan Switch. I have the same thing on my car. You install it by removing a plug in the passenger head, and installing a temperature sensor. It's designed to turn both fans on full at a given temperature, I think 195 and off again at 185. It's automatic & no ECU reprogramming is necessary, which is another benefit of the design. If you're getting a tune, it's not going to follow the temp thresholds set in the ECU, but you can easily disconnect it and leave the sensor in the head.

Seeing as THAT guy is running a way aftermarket water pump, I'd say it's his new PCM Coolant Temp Sensor location (the 2 wires are what tip me off). Yours? NOT a clue.

Make sure to use a flashlight and the camera's flash please And if you take a pic REAL close, put it on MACRO mode so it doesn't come out all nice and blurry
