With modifications they will. One think you'll have to worry about is the reverse cooling.

Why the hell would you want to do that? Convert the L"98 peice of **** TPI intake" over to a Mini ram or a nice singel plane carb intake...

Then you have a choice of crazy SBC heads to work with..

SBC parts= Better than LT1 when it comes to racing and big numbers

LT1s spend alot of money to convert over to SBC heads

TPI 235HP @ what, 5K and 345ft/lbs
LT1 275-285HP @ 5500 and 320ft/lbs

So if he wants to swap over the LT1 heads, which are better than L98 heads, he'll pick up some more power. That's assuming he either has the LT1 heads, or has access to some for cheap (which they are anyways, $100-150).

OR go your route, spend more money, and get a mini-ram or a carb setup

Sure, the TPI's max RPM is like 5200, but it's not all that bad of a setup. You're just being like LSx owners are to LT1 owners, a jerk

If you swap on LT1 heads, instead of Darts, bordix or any of the other badass SBC heads then your a moron..Im sorry to say..

Now if its all your self, and you dont have to fork out cash then have fun

I mean if you can do it really cheap, then yeah its worth it and youll see a nice gain

But if your going to have to drop to much cash into it, look into a good sbc head

Use the after burn heads from the ZZ4 crate motors, very similar to the LT1 head but for Gen 1 right out the box, ported they flow very similar as well.

It's cheap power. I'd do it if I had a third gen. But If I was going big with a third gen I'd stay SBC style.
