Default Small Tranny leak on a T56, causes?

Ok I know for sure its tranny fluid, I saw a small run of it today and its never done that before... I am not sure if I filled it too full or not and my driveway is a slight incline but I have noticed since I got the car a slight amount that never drips but seems to collect around what I assume is the skip shift syl. I was going to spray it off today and got busy putting the C5 rims on. I will be doing a more detailed inspection tomorrow esp since I also noticed that while the owner claimed this motor was just built and has 1000 miles on it or so then sat for a 1yr plus... it seems to still put put white smoke when I floor it still after 5 days of driving it... I am starting to get concerned.

But either way I am looking for common leaks with this version of the T56, I believe the bell housing is the main difference between the LS1 and LT1 versions but I thought I would ask here first since I have been wrong before lol.

My LT1 t56 would leak from the rear seal even though I had it replaced several times.

Be careful here! If you leak enough tranny fluid out (which does not take too long), you will overheat the gears in the tranny thereby wearing off the heat treating... time for new gears... which cost more than buying a used replacement tranny.
