There is a girl at my school whos dad has a 07 GT500. We were joking around saying we should race sometime for fun, when he said he would race me for titles, but he doesnt want my car. Needless to say i was a bit irked. Now i know i wouldnt win but how close would i be? I have a 95 Z28 with just a magnaflow cat back and he is all stock.

Good luck... They are heavier than the terminators but still fast if he knows how to drive it... Are you A4 or M6? And if you are stock with just a cat back, then he'll probably rape you... Again good luck and get some video if you do race him...

it all depends on the driver. there was a guy at MIR with one and he couldnt get below a 13.4 with it. You may break into the 13's but I do not think you have much of a shot at beating him. now if you toss a lil nitrous at it you would have a much better shot at him and may possibly take him but the gt500's are no slouch. for the price of them its realy sad they only run mid 12's since for another 10k you could buy a c6 z06. btw guys I am talking with dealer mark up in my area not nessacarily nationaly. also if a assumably 38+ year old guy thinks hes impressing anyone with his mustang especialy braging or challenging a kid btw im 20 so I am a kid myself. then there is something lacking. once again just my opinions. if woulld deffinatly be a cool race to watch especialy if you dropped a 150 shot in and blew his doors off. sorry for the babling guys

Yeah i have the A4. I plan on getting a CAI and LT's after graduation but that isnt for about a month and a half. Yeah im 17 btw and he is like 40. I told him to wait until im 40 and see what kind of car i have lol. I just really wish i could put this guy in his place. I know some guys with a c5 and a mach 1, ill have to set them up.

For the first 500 miles the supercharger doesn't even work on the gt500. Its supposedly a break in period for the supercharger. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

i played with a gt500 in my jetta. It was a mid-14 second car. it wasnt pretty. Those cars move well with a good driver.

me neither. Does someone disconnect a belt or something? How does a supercharger just not work, if its connected?

It works, just at a lower boost. You have to take it back to the dealer and they tune it out so you can run full boost later.
