Default CC 230/236 track results!

Got some numbers after putting a cam in the ole' LT1 a couple of weeks ago. The car is still full bolt ons with a cam only (230/236 .545 .555 112 lsa)

I launched at 5900 rpm and my shift light was set to 6100 rpm but I think I'm gonna raise that to 6200 next time. I got a littlel bit of spin on the lauch but not much.

60'-1.73
1/8- 7.80
MPH-90.0
1/4-12.20
MPH- 114.2

Its getting there, I think that its still got more in it though. The night was humid and the barometer was really low.

If i set the light at 6200 I'd probably be close to 6500 I guess.

pretty good times.

I'd say you've got some left in it still. a friend of mine is running that cam in a basically stock 355 (save for being balanced, and shaving the heads) through a th350 and a 3000 converter.

he's ran a best of 7.67@92mph and 11.71@113mph on a 1.61 60'

looks like the car is running real good, shift it where it wants to be (6600-6700) and see what that bad boy does.

i believe the cam card states that cam is good up to 6800rpm. shift the car later and see what happens.

The cam peaked at 6k rpm and pretty much stayed constant until 6500 when the pull was over. I'm gonna keep at it and see what it likes, hopefully I can get some good air to help as well. I would really like to hit 11's cam only.

Thats kind of odd that it only peaked at 6000, my 224/230 peaks out a tad higher than that and usually the 230/236's peak I want to say around 6300ish. Anyhow give 6300 a shot because you generally want to shift ~300rpm's past peak. Your knocking on 11's door good luck!

Part# 63-230/236-112 at this link but not sure on the actual comp cams part#

I dyno'd on a mustang dyno so I dont know if that has any bearing on where the peak is gonna show compared to a dynojet. If I had a scanner I'd post the graph but it was a real smooth curve all the way on tq and hp.

That is the cam I bought it "new used" I can get the number later but it doesnt show up on comps website.

EWP, Moser 12bolt with 4.11's, Jet Hot LT's ORY w/cut out, K&N intake, march underdrive pulley, crane 1.6 rr's QA1 R's up front, sfc's, lca's. I also run on bogart D-10's ..I only have removed the ac, front sway bar, and spare tire and jack. The whole interior is in the car.

Stock torque arm for now! It did spin some but it was faster than the previous run lauching at 5500rpm. I'm on a 26x10.50 ET street. I'm also gonna get some rear shocks to help. The budget is thin right now though.

That mph is good for 11.80s-90s with a good 60'...Sounds like its time for some PAF stuff...Tyson really helped dial my car in last year and this year we added the Spohn pro series drag sway bar...A 1.60 60' for you would be an 11.90ish run...Great job!
