I put a higher pressure spring in my stock pump, simply allows it to use the oil it is moving anyway does not cause it to move more oil. Granted mine is just a stock shortblock but with about 50K on it 10K of that being with the heads and cam it seems to do the job. I never even pulled a bearing cap on this thing. One "LT1 expert" builder seems to make a habit of having to rebuild customers stroker between 5-7K miles so I think I am doing fine.

Not knocking what he did but I built my bottom end for considerably less than what he has in it...I have about 1700 in the bottow end..but I guess there are more than one way to skin a cat

What parts did you use?? You can certainly do a shortblock for less but chances are it will be "less" in every respect. Karl used good parts and good machining.

Your sig says 308rwhp, I can think of a Crane 227(smaller than HOT) cam only car that put down 315rwhp through stock exhaust manifolds and several bolton b-bodies that put down about the same power you have through the 4L60E and high stalls. Your torque numbers are weak too, so it looks to me like you got what you paid for. Properly done a 355 setup should be worth power over a 350, compression, quench make a difference.
