im thinking of bulding a new motor for my 93 transam i cant decide wether to go with a regular small block chevy or do a new lt1. i think it would be cheaper to go the non lt1 route for the power i want to make around 550-600 hp any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

if your going to spend the moneyt to convert you mise well just go with an ls1 set up.
