Default IAC values

How do you check IAC values on your car, i have a LE2 head and comp 230/236 cam set up with pcmfor less tune and have a bad idle ( 1600-1800, surging), i talked to bryan at pcm for less and came to the conclusion it was a vacum leak or sensor malfunciton, there is no vaum leak trust me i was up al lnight last going through the throttle body and intake manifold so it has to be my TPS or IAC sensor but how the heck do you check a IAC? I have heard checl it to see if its maxed out at 160 and if it adjust your idle screw but i have no idea where to start, i have a summit 58 TB and have tried moving the screw but i dont really know what i am doing, could use some help here

My scanner tells me how many steps mine is at, but I don't know how you "reset" one (unless you just take it out and pull it all the way out, or push it in), or how to check values via a volt meter :\

You can always oblong out the hole on your TPS and change the value of it, but you'd need a volt meter, or a scanner to read what it's sitting at to change it. When I did mine, I had my scanner hooked up (hand held) and was under the hood looking at it. I just went from .52 to .55 to up the WOT voltage closer to 4v.

When did the bad idle/surging occur?

it happend about 5 minutes after i started the car, it started idle at around 1000 rpms (cold) which is about right and stood there and as i am letting it warm up it starts to surge and go higher and higher untill it stopped around 1800, then id put it in first and the rpms would drop to about 1100 (idle in drive is supposed to be set at 850 warm) ANy other ideas?
