will it hurt to drive like this?
i got a 96 trans am lt1, with longtubes, ory pipe and deleted the air/egr, i know i am going to need a tune but whenever i get it all on it may be a couple of weekd before i can afford a tune, would it hurt to drive it without a tune or will it mess anything up?

no you can still drive it like that it will just be a little down on power and your "service engine soon" light will be on, I'm driving my car (all mods in sig) untuned for about a month before i get a madz28 tune

your air/fuel table will be off and the pcm won't be able to fix itself (as moserman said), this isn't bad, it just means you won't make the most horsepower possible until you get it tuned. you CAN still drive it tho, and it will still be a very noticeable difference from stock, just not spot on..

Your wot a/f table will be off yes, but if your fuel trims (part throttle) are off it is because your o2 sensors are bad, not because you lack tuning.

Fuel trims are not tunable, except via global mods like the injector constant, which do not apply here. This is a common misconception.

so you're saying when you mod only your wot table will be off, and your part throttle will still be correct, assume good o2's ?

the fuel table is basically how much fuel is being injected. since the car is confused basically, it defaults to being rich (using more fuel) this isnt the best for power. so having a tune lets the computer know that you have these mods and what fuel table (how rich or lean) to make the car run at a certain rpm.
