I have the oldschool afr 210`s and I think they are a good head however if I could do it over I would get some trickflows ported from Advanced induction

I have the old school AFR 190's street with a little porting (don't make them anymore) and I have loved em' from day one. The nice thing that most people say about AFR's is they flow so good out of the box that for most modifications they don't require any porting to make awesome #'s. Go for em' well worth the money IMHO.

we just ordered a set of trickflow lt1 heads ported by TEA. they are the 200 cc runner heads with ls1 valves and springs special ordered. real nice flow numbers really nice mid lift numbers. they will be on a 383 with a ported lt1 intake and a 239/247 110 lsa cam motion cam. We will have results in a month.

People are not capable of differentiating between marketing hype and true results, meaning reputations are at least as often BOUGHT as earned.

Are you trying to say that TEA is a bunch of marketing hype?

Thread is not about TEA and the comment was not targetted at you. Is a VERY broad comment I believe applies to AFR and a lot of other popular products.

Just hoping the heads are as good as advertised. should be a stout combo.

We changed out a 248/258 114lsa xfi lobed cam for the cam motion 239/247 110 lsa cam and then dropped a valve seat messing up a piston and a ported stock head. The head was 52 cc so the engine was built with a 16 cc dish with just over 11/1 compression. With the ported stock heads and intake along with that huge *** xfi lobed cam the car went 11.54 (1964 chevelle with full interior and lots of extra stuff pops added) with a 700 r4 4500 stall.

The car put down 400 rwhp 375 tq with the previous combo and hoping for some low 11's and more hp. mph usually was around 113 with a best of 116 in a good -1300 da.

11.8's at 0 da was the norm,.

I have not seen results on the TEA stuff so I can not comment on how they work. I will say that given the lack of results(good or bad) I would be kind of skeptical of all the calims people make about them. Sort of like how everyone was dying to get their hands on the MSD opti which turned out to be less reliable than stock.

Not saying reputation means things are bad just stating examples where reputation and REALITY are polar opposites.

I remeber recently there was a guy with TEA Stage 3 LT4s and he can't get the car running right so we have no results to see there.
