Nitrous with KB pistons...
This is for a 1996 LT1. Not the nitrous section but figured i could get more replies here... No I no longer own an LT1 car but am piecing one back together with a friend and neither of us have experience with nitrous. Its his car and he is planning on running nitrous. Mainly to try and outrun me.
Okay so i know a lot of lt1 guys run nitrous on stock pistons which are cast. Would it be okay to run a 150 shot on the KB hypereutectics? Ive heard they expand more than forged under the increased pressures of nitrous or forced induction which could scar the cylinder walls. Read over the nitrous faq's to and it mentioned cast piston but not hypereutectics. Just want to know if anyone is currently running nos on KB's and if its reliable.
