Default bullets

i have pacesetter headers and offroad y and like the sound of it open it's just vary fumey at stop lights and instead of just extending the pipe to the axle and i was thinking of using a bullet muffler to get it further back i wish it sounded like it does when there is no load on the engine just being reved and if it sounded that way under a load it would be great but what are the chances of that. anyway i want a muffler that smoothes out the choppey and rumbley sound but keeps it loud. i was thinking cheep so are the dynomax bullets make it smoother sounding.

yes the dynomax bullet muffler would take out the unwanted "high-pitch" choppey sound as you call it. there are people who have done this on here who have put a bullet on the y pipe and a turndown on the bullet. if you like loud you will like it that way!

btw most people will not believe me. but i had a 2.5" dynomax bullet in place of my cat when i had manifolds and stock y. and when it was removed the perforated core in the bullet had cracked in several places. dont know why it did this. maybe stainless wouldnt.

I run LT headers with a straight pipe and an actual dual exhaust that dumps about a foot before the rear axle. It does get loud but I like it that way.

if you want cheap bullets check out the summit glasspacks or go with the dynomax as you said, i have them and they drone bad at about 55-60mph, but on the highway and cruising at about 45-50 they're quiet and sound great. if you want loud thats the way to go.

Just my opinion, but unless you have a 74 Pickup Truck or you live in the country and have a Mullet or something. DO NOT put a glasspack on a camaro or a firebird....Please!

I have a 94 Formula with PS LT's and ORY Pipe going into a Moroso Spiral Flow and then a Dump before the axle..... It sounds BADA$$! Definentely the way I'd go if you like loud and a deep sound. The spiral flows sound great man!
I'll try to get a sound clip of it if it will help you out with a decision.... LMK
Good Luck!

James
