Default heads ?

will these heads with this casting number work on a 96 z28 lt1 camaro?

Gen.2 LT1 Aluminum Reverse Flow heads for years 1994-1996/ 350SBC-175/68cc

casting # for heads are:10207643

any help would be great.

643 will work on any LT1 BUT they flow less than what should be on the car now, but are more desirable for porting than what should be on the car.

That said the chamber volume spec you copied and pasted is 10-14ccs off reality so I have to wonder about the source for these heads.

The Info. on 561's seems to be a myth (If that is what you were suggesting).

GIZMO you saying the 561s flow the same as the 643s?? You have certainly played with more LT1 heads than I so I wont argue.

Merv, what are you talking about?? Big chamber??

From what I have seen the 561's actually flow a bunch less than the 643's.

I can't really say. I haven't poured any before they go out to the machine shop to be cut. The 561's were a dissapointment. The performance reflects the poor flow numbers too.

I misread the 175/68cc part of it.
