Default crappy battery = perf problems?
having a battery thats about to take its death turn, will having a battery thats barely alive effect performance or overall running on these engines at all.

GM death drain FTL.

as long as you have a good functioning alternator you should run fine,however a bad battery will eventually damage the starter(long time)usually the battery will DIE completely before that but still a dragging starter has a short life span..
