I have a jasper crate motor rebuilt stock for the most part i am upgrading to a ported intake manifold with smoothed runners, and a 54mm bore i was wondering what kind of horse power increase i could expect with the ported intake and 54 mm throotle body? My car also has headers and intake. thx for your help

Next to nothing since your running stock untouched heads and a stock cam.

the jasper motor the owner before me had installed the motor was 3000. It is not my block rebuilt it is a jasper crate motor i dont know the specs on it but it goes pretty good. I have intake exhaust, 373 gear. msd everything. underdrive pulley bbk headers no cat. tb bypass and airfoil. if i dont gain much hp will i atleast get a sweet sucking noise from the 54mm tb and ported intake? The tb is supposed to flow 880 cfm with airfoil ported to match and the stock 48 mm only flows 620 cfm.

Stock intake TB bore is already 54mm (some say 52, but I'm pretty sure it's 54 in actuality). Unless you mean you're getting a 54mm TB.

Stock TB is good till 450~ HP, which you won't be making unless you're tossing on a supercharger.

(No, my 58mm in my sig isn't installed)

ya i agree with stealth... until you get those heads and intake breathing(at least gasket matching) you wont see a real big gain.. but you have to start somewhere

Well, like I said, it's a bit of a debate. Some say 52, some say 54, but we all agree that a 52mm fits on a stock intake w/o any porting needed to be done.
