Default Help, I Cant Figure This Out, Need Help.

I just got my car back from being painted. And it will not run right. I am totally lost. I get it and it cranks right up, runs good for about an hour and dies. But before it cuts off, it surges, sputters, and back fires real bad. It will not start back. It will turn over but nothing, it might start but just die right off. I am at my wits end. The funniest thing is.......after the car dies it wont start for any reason, no matter how many times you try to crank it. If I leave the key in the "ON" position and walk away, 5-10 mins later you will hear the fuel pump turn on. After that happens you can go right up and crank the car up. But it will die again. It is throwing 3 codes, TPS-low voltage, Crank postion sensor- low voltage, and a stupid one I need to turn off (EGR, but its not there). I am at a loss for what to fix, change or what. NEED HELP.... I also thought it was the fuel pump but when your trying to crank it up, you smell fuel, I disconnected the fuel line off the intake and turned the key on and fuel shot out like crazy, plus im still getting 42 psi of fuel up front.

could be time for a new fuel pump.
when you got the car painted did they mess with any grounds or wires under the engine bay, not sure what was getting painted there.

The car was orginally black and it was repainted black, so they didnt do any of the engine bay or jams or anything like that.

Wild guess here Armyman.. The fuel pump runs the fuel pump 2 different ways first it runs it with a direct wire to the pump for 2 seconds every time it senses the ignition key goes from off to on and secondly the PCM picks the fuel pump relay after it detects opti pulses once started. Since you hear the pump run after 5-10 mins of sitting either the PCM is seeing a false ign switch on/off sequence or the PCM is acting up on it's own. Could be a PCM power or ground problem. When you crank the engine with No-start does the tac show any RPM (2-300), and do the injectors pick, if neither one the PCM could be inoperative at that point. PCM gets power from PCM fuse to pink wire and has a chassis ground from black wire fastened to pass side of block near dipstick.

The tach will read about 200-350 RPMS (jumping) The injectors are spraying. I tired again today and nothing at all, It's not even getting spark, then all of a sudden its gets spark and will start only to die. I can try to start it for about an hour and nothing happens. If I hear the fuel pump kick on by itself, the car will start right up with no problems. Then it will die about an hour or so later. The car will only start after the fuel pump kicks on by itself.

Man i would check the grounds next to the coil, sometime them little wires just break loose after time and cause that problem.
