Default car will not hold idle, please help.

The car will still not hold a idle. i also have to press the throttle in while turning the car over to get it started, once it barley starts is does idle at 950 but after about 30 seconds it starts to surge, if i put it in to first it dies right away. I have done research on the problem and have read this can be due to emissions eqiupemnt failing but i was supposed to have all that deleted from the pcm. . Also this is a turbo 350 trans, i dont know if that would have any effect but as soon as its put in gear it dies and if i let it try to hold a idle it dies. I have replaced my tps and iac. Please ehlp are there any othere sensors or other things that could cause this, or any tests that i can do hunt down my problem

Have you still got cats on? Whether you've deleted emissions on your PCM or not, a clogged Cat will not allow the exhaust to flow properly, and bog down your motor.

Chop off the cats, install straight pipe! (unless your state is emissions controlled, of course)

Mine did the same thing when I changed throttle bodys. I replaced my Fast for a NW throttle body and the car wouldnt start without pushing the pedal and wouldnt even try to idle.

I ended up enlarging the hole in the throttle blade a little at a time until it idled normal. Final hole diameter was approx. 5/16", no problems since.
