EGR Question
When I put my headers on my car, I attempted to hook my egr stuff back up. But the stock hook ups are too small to screw into the header. I went to napa to try and get a bigger one and the guy there said they dont make one. Which i find really hard to believe. I thought about deleting all that crap but it at least has to be on there to pass inspections. It doesnt have to be hooked up, just there. What should i do?

I remember my OBDI AS&M headers (93-95 style) had a bolt threading larger than the OBDII EGR tube on my engine (97)... so I MIG'd the hole shut, and drilled/tapped it for the proper size before putting it on the engine. If that bolt is what you're talking about, all you need to do is MIG it, drill it, tap it. (check the thread size on the EGR bolt... I don't recall it exactly).

i have pacesetters. it really pisses me off. because i didnt realize it wasnt goin to fit until i already had them on the car. i was considering just putting plugs in the holes.

thats weird. i assume your talking about the air system not EGR. egr is at the back of the intake. everything on my pacesetter headers bolted up no problem. you can also just go the the hardware store and pick up some metal caps that will screw onto the header to cap it off. 5/8"

back of the intake is EGR.
AIR and EGR are unrelated. EGR goes from the passenger-side header (near the firewall) and through a bendable metal hose/tube to the back of the intake. AIR pump pumps air into BOTH headers near the front, but only on startup and for about 5 minutes... just enough to light-off the cat. I think the plug for AIR pumps are M22 size... make sure you use high-temp RTV on the plug, or a copper crush gasket to get a good seal.
You can elliminate both and pass the sniffer as long as the engine (and CAT) are HOT. Some guys try to cheat the system a bit and run a gallon of Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol from the drug store) in the tank for cooler and more complete combustion (for 2 different reasons I won't discuss here).
