Default ebay Cold Air Induction

I have a rare chrome cold air induction system from the F1 Camaro package from 96( I think). It such a pain to pull out to clean the filters. I was thinking of getting one from ebay(Chrome Intakes). It looks so much easier to work with.

Yea, my car came with one too, they're not meant for our cars. They're just the same POS you can buy from your local parts store for the imports. If I had the money, I'd ditch the damn thing. Go get dimensions and goto the semi shop and see if they can mandrel bend some 3-1/2 or 4" exhaust for you. You'll probably want 2 pieces, so you can turn the end elbow to the right angle for the filter.

I've never been a big fan of chrome intakes... I would just think that they would get heat soaked and wind up hurting performance more than helping.

We took a friends six speed car and used an ebay kit and the felt faster with the factory intake with the element removed.

I on the other hand have a K&N Cold Air Kit and I am very satisfied.

I use an ebay one and it's fine. Changing the filter is the same as the rest because it sits in the bumper. It does it's job for me and it was only fifty bucks.

Watch ebay for a name brand used one. They come around for a fair price. I paid 70 bucks for a Lingenfelter CAI.

Unless you painted with ceramic, it won't help against the fact it's still steel and chrome.
