Default Help with LT1 fuel issue.

A friend of mine is putting an LT1 into a chevelle. The problem is, is that fuel is not getting past the regulator. He has a high flow external fuel pump that is good for about 80psi. He get getting fuel to the regulator but its not passing the regulator into the fuel rails. He is running the stock regulator. Is it possable that the pump is too strong for the stock regulator that the diaphram cant open. And if that is not the problem then what do you think it could be.

The regulator should be on the return, start there.

And there is no gas getting to the rails at all? The pump psi shouldnt matter, you set the regulator to what psi the engine needs, LT1 is 43-45 off vacuum.
