What set of GEARS?
I barley drive my car. maybe about 300 miles a year or less. I only drive it to Friend, NE once in a while to do work with my car. Everything else is at 45MPH or less, and it is driven mainley on the street. My question is "COULD" I go with 4.10's and not have a problem on the street since I just see usually 40-50MPH and I "MIGHT" get on it once in a while. With these gears I was going to go with so BFGOODRICH drag radials. Should I add ALU. drivershaft as well? All your help on this is greatly appericated. Also I am getting full CAI.

As of right now I got 273's will I see a HUGE difference outta the hole, plus I have no tire tread at the moment. Would DRAG RADIALS be sick with some 410's in a auto, I want to stall it later. Would that be ok?

the larger stall will benefit you if you go with higher gears as the stall will make the gears a little more tame compared to your stock stall. bigger gears + no tread = no tractions. when you go drag for some drag radials i suggest mickey thompson radials. low tread life bust best bite. since you only drive 300 miles a year they'll last you a while. can't really say how much of a difference the gears make on launch since I haven't been to the track with them.

I second this, 3.73s and a stall will DIG and still be usable on the fwy. I know you said you don't go over 60 mph, but its nice to be ABLE to do it. See sig. I pull 2600 rpm around 70 mph. Definitely DIGS hard from a stop though. I think 4.10s for the manual and 3.73s for the auto. You could go with the 4.10s though as others have stated they have done it.

You have to take into account what size stall your going to run, if you chose a 4.10, what size tires etc. And what you want to be going through the traps at I think 3.73 is plenty on an A4.

I think you putting 4.10 with some sticky tires could be playing with fire when it comes to your 10 bolt. If I were a auto i would be running 3.73's for that time that you do need to drive it on the interstate.. But hey, if you think you'll NEVER be driving it over 60, cruising of course. then go for it. Which ever you choose will be a nice awakening for the car.
