Default Will Not Idle Smooth

i just had my LT1 rebuilt every thing is stock on it including the throttle body. The car will not idle right. I have replaced the IAC, i have checked for vacuum leeks multiple times i have checked the spark plugs and wires to see if any of them were bad. IN Park the car will idle any where from 600 to 1500 rpms and when im driving and i shift form drive to park the rpms will go up to 2000. I DK what the problem its. Im not throwing any codes. once and a while if i am at 1500 crusing and i give it some gas the rpms will flicker up to 2000 really fast and i will not feel the motor accelerate. I cant figure out the problem Any One else have this problem before???

My guess would be the opti was installed wrong, but that's assuming it's a 92-94 style opti (or did it go to 95?) with the spline shaft. If not installed wrong, then I'd still blame the opti heh

There are a few hard plastic lines that can crack and not look bad. Easiest test is to use a flammable spray (brake/carb clean or starting fluid) and spray around the lines, but slowly. Then when engine revs up, it'll help you pin point the area.

If the Mech isn't knowledgeable in LT1s, he won't know all the quirks of the opti.

hook it up to a diganostic's tool and maybe it will give you a clue, and also check your o2's cause both of mine went out and it made my car run like **** and it would idle like it had a cam in it
