Default $5400 on a bathroom towel and more to buy

I blew a head gasket and decided to add a few extras while it's apart. I am going to have the block bored and decked, crank turned if needed and balanced with forged rods and Mahle Powerpack pistons.
The heads are new castings with AI 200cc porting, mild custom AI hydraulic cam, 32lb Racetronix injectors, 54mm AS&M throttle body, Comp 7/16" 1.6 rockers and 1" polylocks, ARP studs, TFS guideplates, Cloyes 9-3145 timing set, GM lifters, Melling select oil pump, MSC cap and rotor, Mcleod twin disk clutch and billet flywheel, Impala .029 headgaskets. I got a good deal on some LT4 valve covers so I had to spend a little on some bling too.
I'm hoping my 10 bolt lasts at least till the clutch and motor are broken in.

I'll bet it felt better than christmas when you opened up the box that they shipped your heads in. Looks like a nice set of parts. Good luck with the build.

Nice goodies. Hopefully those valvecovers are the tall ones, 'cause it's not going to clear those Comp 1.6 rockers w/polylocks. I'm running the same Pro Magnum nsa rockers #1305 and it needed the taller valvecovers.Just FYI.

Did you have the LT4 valve covers and 1" polylocks? From the research I have done they should clear even with the longer polylocks.

My stock ones cleared with some modifying. I see no problem here.

Hey, my melling select oil pump would not fit with my stock pan, just a fyi before you put your motor together. It is a hare big. it works totally fine with a canton pan.

Ditch that MSD Opti and get an AC Delco or Delphi now as the MSDs are notorious for coming apart internally or the screws backing out. Nice setup though.

De javu! When I lost my head gasket I went on a similar spending spree.
- MSD Probillet opti - returned it for a AC Delco to fix a high rpm miss (though I'm not so sure that was the problem)
- MSD coil - returned for a AC Delco coil from an Escalade (Again, it may not have been the problem, but I have another issue as well).
- LTCC - for once I get everything worked out with the stock ignition.
- '03 cobra injectors (39#/h)
- billet aluminum valve covers... ebay special (though I REALLY thought about those black LT4 covers... nice!)
- billet aluminum oil cap... it's pretty.
- billet aluminum dip stick... matches my oil cap
- billet aluminum monoblade... to match my dip stick
- comp Pro Mags, 7/16", ARP studs, Isky guidplates, and SmithBrother pushrods... fat ones.

Do EVERYTHING you want to do now... build it right the first time and you'll be MUCH happier.

But I'd kiss that 10-bolt goodbye.

Not an MSD opti, just MSD cap and rotor
