Default LT1 intake on LT4 heads?

Im buying stock casting heads (probably going with the stock LT4 or Edelbrocks XTREME CNC heads) but both "require" an LT4 intake. What needs to be done to the LT1 intake to fit on the LT4 heads?

LT4 Intake ports are larger. You should get an LT4 intake for them. I don't think you can port the LT1 to work.

The LT4 intake has the same size holes as the LT1, just has more material above the port to seal to the taller ports in the LT4 heads.
Guys have used stock LT1 intakes on LT4 heads and it is not a performance handicap but it does make for a mighty thin sealing margin at the tops of the ports, some guys have had material welded on and the intake milled straight again and then ported them.

Frankly I would just use LT1 heads, but then I like to pay attention to results more than bench racing and marketing.

So is there a great chance of it not sealing right?
