Default MSD CAP/Rotor Question, And Loose Wire Question

I am in the middle of replacing the cap and rotor on my ride. My question is it’s a 1994 with a non vented cap. I order the 93-94 MSD Cap and rotor kit from Jegs. It is vented and it comes with the vent tubes. My question is will this work/fit on a 94 Opti-distibutor before I open it up? Thanks

I have another question hopefully someone can help. I noticed a ground wire (I think) hanging free, the wire is black. It is on the driver side. On the driver side there is a main wire harness running under the abs module/and intake ducting and runs up be the drivers side headlights. A ground comes out of that and mounts on the core support. That one is fine, there should be another group of wires that t’s into the wiring harness under the Intake ducting and close to the abs module. In that group of wires is another wire that comes out of the harness and looks like a ground but I can’t find where it goes, the end is broke off. Just making sure it doesn’t go to anything. I can’t load any pictures sorry. The wire is only 4-5 inches long. Thanks

The cap and rotor will work fine. Just run the vacuum and fresh air hoses to the correct places. As for the ground you speak of it's kinda hard to tell without a pic.

the one that goes to a vacuum port actually goes on a nipple fitting on the intake, right below the brake booster vac. hose.

This should give you an idea: http://shbox.com/1/opti_vacuum_conn.jpg

I have a 94 and run the MSD opti but I was missing one of the nipples pictured in the link. I forgot which one but since my EGR has been deleted I just put the vacuum hose on the EGR nipple. If you have EGR then MSD usually supplies a "T" fitting to splice into it.

No problem. If you run into any trouble let me know and I'll snag a pic of mine.
