Car Starts Dies Then Won't Restart
As per above, I just checked fuel pressure and it starts at 41psi. Car starts and runs for about 10-20 seconds and dies. While the engine is running fuel pressure is steady at 47 psi. Car revs normal after start-up, idles around 1100 rpm, if I give it gas she revs fine with no stumbling and then when I let off the gas it dies like someone pulling off the battery cable. I have recently changed to an Accel dist., new ICM, plug wires, Opti harness, spark plugs new coil. I have also put on a new battery ground cable to the ICM thinking the old one was bad. Any Ideas?????:

Got the car running again. Went down the road, started to hold a high idle then it backed down again. Went around the block about half mile down the road, turned around, got on the gas and it cut off immediately. Pulled over and it took 4 times to crank over before she started. Limped home and now she idles at 1200 rpm. I changed the Throttle position sensor last week and cleaned the Idle Air Control Valve with carb cleaner. I now have a check engine light and no way to scan it. I don't want to chance taken her to town and not being able to get her running again. Still any Ideas????

have you seen about jumping the ports on the data port to get the code its throwing? i see that you cleaned the IAC if you have a mulitmeter you can check it should have 40-80 ohms between a & B and C & D.

No, I have a friend with a scanner that's coming over in a couple of minutes to see what it's throwing. I've had it show a code for the Crank Position Sensor, but after I got her running with the Accel Opti it never threw the code again. I guess I'll find out here pretty soon...
