Default 6.950" pushrod sound right??

ever since I built my engine my roller rockers have made a ton of noise, today i got the pushrod checkers out and came up with a length of 6.950. my blocks been decked and heads shaved but .150 is quite a bit.

im going to order the new push rods since my roller rockers are almost rolling off of the valves.

I cant find my paperwork to the engine so i cant recall how much was taking off of what.

if that is the measurement you got with the tool than get those. You can order any "custom" length but typically PR are made in .050 incriments (7.2", 7.150", 7.1", etc.)

Your block decking, head gasket thickness, head decking, cam lift, RR ratio all play into the equation.

Mine turned out to be 7.100"

RR by themselves of 1:5 to 1:6 will not make a difference in the geometry requireing a different size PR.....

I meant use whatever RR you are going to use (1:5 or 1:6) when useing the PR check tool.

Because not all rocker bodies contact a pushrod at the same length. Pushrod length needs to be taken into consideration whenever changing up anything w/in the valvetrain.

Yep.

Some rockers are shorter on the PR side to get the ratio and some are longer on the valve side.
