Default gauge cluster interchangibility? re flash pcm?

hey, i've got a '94 firebird formula m6.. it had a 110mph cluster, i pulled a cluster from a '95 t/a m6, and it goes to 150 mph. i noticed when i swapped them out, the low coolant light was on, and the service engine was on.. no big deal. but the speedo reads around 10 mph fast.. i know this because the speed limiter comes on at 118ish on the new dash, and it use to come on at 107ish.. so my question is, what is wrong with it, and can i just get the pcm re flashed with a tec-II or something like that? both cars were 6 speed, so i would assume that they have 3:42 gears?

Well the PCM controls the dash, so I'm not sure why it would be different unless the 110 calculates the pulses differently than the 150 :\

You could try posting in the PCM Diagnostics and Tuning (even though it's under the LSx section).

Not sure what a Tec-II is, I'd assume a handheld scanner. Most can adjust for gear ratios, and it just programs in new pulse count into the PCM for the speedo. 6speeds did have 3.42s though.
