Motor R&R Video...
Would there be any interest of a fully documented how to VIDEO of how to drop the motor out of an lt1 4th gen car without a lift? I plan on making the video and just wanted "a show of hands" on how many of you could appreciate the video since most of the text/pic writeups out there seem vague and undetailed. Post up if you like the idea...
I also plan on making a VIDEO of how to do a basic rebuild involving gaskets, bearings and piston rings as well as the cam swap and valvetrain assembly. Would anyone have a need for that? If nobody likes the ideas then I will just do the job without the video but if there is interest I'll take some extra time for the video.

Hey guys here is a demo clip to let you know how it will look on most steps. Keep in mind that video/audio is not HD or anything amazing but IMO it is a fantastic way of showing you and talking to you. I see know reason why I first timer doing anything could not follow my steps. Keep in mind there will be text slides before video to even further explain steps...
Give me some feedback on this guys...

its like watching hotrod tv except without the commercials! lol I think it would help a lot of people out. But its difficult to capture every detail to remove the engine. And the video would be really long.
The thing that i ALWAYS forget about are the ABS sensor wires that go to the hub assemblies. And show how you can just take out the two master cylinder bolts to pull off the master cylinder to get to the strut bolts, along with only having to disconect two brake lines at the abs unit to remove the k member. Those are things a lot of people over think and go over the edge to get.

I've already shown those to steps man. Thanks for the heads up. This video is attempting to keep as many systems sealed as possible like your power steering, master to abs unit and even your a/c system. It will save you money in the long haul.

It would help quite a few. are you planning on doing this with a hoist, or for the average shade tree mechanic with some big jack stands?

A hoist will be used to lift the vehicle body while a simple floor jack will be used to roll the entire motor/trans/suspension assembly around. Oh and no offense taken 355 I totally appreciate the tips man keep them coming if you know of some other ones. That will be a benefit of the video.
