Got one in one of my wagons at 228K no problems. Now before you dismiss wagon life as an easy one consider 4672lbs base curb weight 2.93s, 28" tires and a 5000lbs tow rating. Last compression check was back around 185K and still read around 200psi not bad for a 10:1 iron headed motor.
A friend has a cammed former police car Caprice something over 170K on it and the cam has been in 2 years, imagine the idling hours on a squad car motor. Runs well too within .1 of a Golen stroker when we went to a big national event and did so through closed exahust, no lightening, big driver and on 87 octane.

LT1 is a solid motor and the ring seal will last a LONG time, the bearings are a greater concern and rpms are usually the death of them, even then it is more likely rodbolt stretch that kills them rather than the bearings themselves being culprit.

As Caprice said, they last a lifetime. We have people on here with heads and cams over 150K, and people spraying NOS (150shot~) over 150K as well.

My local PD has had many LT1 powered caprices with over 250k miles on the original long blocks.

It's not a lot for any motor that has been well maintained.

Mine just went over 129k the other night and it's still running strong. Hell, I plan on putting a CC306 cam in it this winter. Just keep up on maintenance and you won't have any problems.

i had a 93 with a 194k on it, it ran like a champ. then i sold it to a local girl over 2 years ago, i still see it at least once a week running around. my friend had a 95 with 213k on it and it ran strong as ever, that is before some lady ran a stop light and totaled it. the 93 i have right now has 140k on it and i have plans on spraying it in the near future, as long as you take care of them they will take care of you.
