LT1/L99 Intake Q's
Well I currently have a stock LT1 intake on my car but I also aqquired a ported L99 intake a couple of months back, it is gasket matched and bored out for a bigger throttle body. I was wondering what the differences between the two were (other than port size) and would it be worth putting on my car or should I sell it. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Well I guess I will send it back to Lloyd Elliot since he's the one that hacked it up... Now I would appreciate it if you stayed out of my thread UNLESS you have something positive to contribute. Thanks.

You mean like telling you it is the same intake.
I have seen Lloyd post not to gasket match intakes which is where the "hacked up" comment came from.

My motor has the intake that was original to the car, and mine was originally an L99car, so I have an "L99 intake" on my LT1 and it seems to work.
Still don't understand what you mistakenly believe is different size wise, but at any rate you are wrong.

heh Cap never has anything positive to add. Most of the time he adds good info, it's just always in a demeaning manor. You'll get used to it, it'll take a few months though

Yes, sorry we weren't born with all the automotive knowledge in the universe like you were, and are subject to having to ask questions to learn things. It REALLY wouldn't hurt to just inform people politely instead of berating and belittling them.
