Default Race muffler help

I'm running bullets right off the collectors to dumps on my hooker headers. This thing is LOUD. Anyone tried some good flowing race mufflers that will tone down the sound some but not cost me anything on power?

here is how it sounds now.

I know of a few lsx cars running Edelbrocks which are in the high 8's and low 9's.
It's quietest muffler I've heard thus far.

which edelbrocks are we talking about?

I have some dynomax ultraflows in my attic. I'm not sure how they would tuck up under there though. Anyone had any experince with them? they say they flow in the 1100 cfm range.

thanks, I just think its too loud. I guess I'm getting old..lol. I would at least like it to have a lower "note" and not so much the tingy open header sound at idle.

I run dual 4" spintech's..... Oval inlets/outlets but square case....

You could do a search and you'll see pics of my setup. I wouldn't say they are quiet but they're probably quieter than bullets...

Hey I was going to ask you tim why didn't you make it to the shootout? I didn't either but I saw an earlier post where you had said you were ready to go.... Is your car a M6????? "EDIT"

nevermind i read sig...... that thing flies for an NA 355 LT1 with a 6 spd.... GAWD I need some 4.56 gears for running NA!!!!

I was ready to go until the dual sync distrib let go on the dyno at about 7500 rpms causing the rotor to fling about in there with about a 180 deg. swing.. Fire out the throttle body and exhaust are always fun on a new motor. I tried to get the crank trigger set up in time for the shootout but just ran out of time with the problems I experienced. When it happened I almost put a plug in the rear of the intake and stick my opti back on. But I said.."nah..do it right. How much trouble can a crank trigger be to setup? I have plenty of time." Well I was wrong. I plan on being there next year if I will leave the car alone and not have to run outlaw with a little 355 NA motor..lol. If I'm there the NA guys better step up alot..haha.
