Default Could use some help

Well the other day my car started idling weird, the rpms would go for 900-1200rpms. When I would drive it I got some slight hesitation as well. I changed my o2 sensors thinking that was the prob since I recently installed LTs. Well problem still there. So after a couple days, finally got a buddy to scan it (no parts stores seemed to have scanners in the area).

3 codes came up: Egr, o2 sensor and torque converter solenoid circuit.

So we then erased the codes and let it run again. Just the tc solenoid one stayed. I am not sure if this would have affect on my idling or what issues would arise from this.

Also found a possible exhaust leak which I thought was the culprit (one of the screws were looks on the header) I tightened the header bolts, cleaned the MAF with MAF cleaner, cleaned my tps sensor, cleaned out my egr (it was really dirty) and then let it run again. Idle issue was still there, didnt seem as bad though. I then took it for a drive and found it ran better but still unsure about issue.

Sorry about the long read, but hoping to get this taken care of, any advice would be appreciated.

sounds like the torque converter or the torque converter clutch solenoid. it sure will effect idle. if that clutch is trying to engage at a stoplight, its going to try to kill the motor, smoke the torque converter clutch, maybe smoke the low/reverse clutch, or a combination of those. first, i'd ask a mod to move this to the auto tranny section. those dudes will be able to help you more, i bet. second, check the tranny fluid and see what its like, and get back to us.

my car is doing the same thing when idling..turn your ac on when your stopped and see if that helps it..i had mine checked out and they couldnt find anything wrong with it..i think it all started when i put my new tranny and 3000 stall in so should i take it back and see if its my tc solenoid

Guess im a bit late to get back, yeah seems like the tcc solenoid is the culprit, went through a bunch of fun stuff making sure what it isnt and stuff I could check out. Any chance you got a part number for the tcc solenoid? Btw, I got a stock tranny, a4 with a 3200 yank converter, so probably a good possibility haha. I think so I was fixing other issues in the process it wasnt moved to the tranny section and I sort posted a similar post on there, which im still awaiting some answer. Thanks for the feedback slowpoke.

which car is it for? your 1995 lists p/n 15320477. your 93 uses p/n 10478114 if it has 2.73s(RPO GU2) or 3.23s(RPO GU5) or p/n 8654129 if it has a different gear ratio from the first two. any GM dealer will be able to look those up, and give you a new number if it has changed. you might even be able to find it at a parts store.

Ok seems like a week for any ac delco. However, the guy at the all parts store kept pushing standard motors parts. Are they just as good??

Yep, limited 1 year. Guy at the parts store swears by them and out of the few places with ac delco parts, there were standard motor parts being sold too.

IAC is fairly new. Less than a year. Plus that code never came up. But if this doesnt work I might have that on the list.
