Default How should i reach my goal?

I am looking at buying a decent 94 T/A A4 and was curious as to how i should go about getting 400hp and 400tq to the rear, i would prefer not to have boost seeing how i am going to daily drive this thing. Do you think i could reach my goal with some LT4 heads, a hotcam, tune, and full exhuast ending in a GMMG system?

LT4 heads and cam will not get near 400 at the wheels. You need to look into a GOOD set of heads and a custom ground cam preferred. Do a search for advanced induction or lloyd elliot, those are some of the main head porters.

With the small list that you have posted, that will not even get you close. If you are not wanting to go forced induction, you are pretty much stuck with a really well put together heads/cam car. An option that will not cost you as much would be spray. Just go with the normal bolt-ons and free mods to get 300 and then spray a 100 shot at it.

The LT4 heads with HOT cam are at best 425hp at the flywheel, with an A4 and here in reality rather than best case scenario you would probably be licky to make 330 at the wheels.

People approach 400rwhp way too casually, now that guys are able to hit it fairly reliably, every kid without the foggiest clue what he is doing thinks he can throw some crap like the LT4 HOT kit at it and it will magically happen. IT WONT.

Look at those who had hit your goals and try and copy them. For a similar price to the LT4 HOT setup you could go this route and be a whole lot closer to your goal. Now keep in mind this is a M6 car so yours would dyno lower.

i'd go with LE2 setup...they usually put down 410-425ish at teh wheels with supporting mods. I'm thinking i might invest in that this winter...cc503 isnt enough for me
