I would say go with and NX kit. Thats what im running. I have a bigger fuel pump, bottle warmer, nitrous pressure gauge, and a tune. I would use NGK TR-6 Plugs and gap them at .036 if i were you. You might also want to upgrade your ignition.

I have a Zex 75-125 set-up. I haven't done much to my car, free mods, cai, 3:73, PCM4less tune, NGK tr-6 plugs M/T drag radials, bolt on UMI subframes. 1.70 60 ft. 7.92 @85.52 in the 1/8 on 100 shot. Oh yea the motor has 156K on it and it is all stock.

About once a week when I go to the track, I will make 5 or 6 runs. Yea the Zex system takes some of the worries out of using the nos since it will cut it off if it thinks something is wrong. Here is a vid of me on a 100 shot run before the subframes, they made a big differnce.

I could be wrong but I think the window switchs just let you set where you want it to come on at. The Zex comes on at wot, just like most others do, but if it detects knock it will stop the nos. That's the way I understand it to work.

I have the Cold Fusion 200HP wet kit: http://www.nitrousdirect.com/lt1.html

I went with a 20 lb bottle (10 lb was standard of course), upgraded to a MSD Optispark replacement, MSD wires and NGK plugs.. I am about to sell off my unsightly bottle warmer in lieu of a billet mount with the heater built in. Of course, this is on a fresh rebuild with new internals, etc..

I've been happy with my TNT F1 kit that's been on my car for years. Haven't had any issues to speak of (knock on wood). There are plenty of good kits out there so hit up the nitrous forum for some good info.

I use all Harris Speed Works stuff for my setup, but my window switch is from Nitrous Outlet. I would recommend HSW all day everyday! They answered my countless questions through PM's and phone calls without hesitation. I'm sure I asked the same questions over and over again and never once did I get the feeling from them that they were tired of my constant nagging. LOL That being said I like the Nitrous Outlet plate but I couldn't vouch the extra $200 just for the plate system since I don't plan to spray over 150 ever.

I also have the Harris Speed Works kit. Not a bad kit, im using the Mallory 685 ignition box. Also have the HSW bottle warmer, and their FPSS. Sprayed a 150 shot on a stock bottom end LT1 with 140k on it. Used about a bottle a week for about 6 months straight. I also had the racetronix fuel pump kit. Never had a problem! Good luck!
