Default Intake leak causing oil pressure to be low?

I've been having really low oil pressure in my car for awhile now and just recently discovered that i'm yet another victim of the LT1 intake leak. I was just wondering if the intake leak could cause the oil pressure to be low. When driving the gauge never goes above 30 psi regardless of rpms. It is really low at idle when warm. I'd say around 6-8 psi.

I don't think the oil in the lifter valley is under enough pressure that a leak would cause your pressure to be low, but I'm not an expert.

Oil in the lifter valley is not pressurized. A leaky manifold would not cause a drop in pressure.

I've heard from a lot of people that this is "normal" but i dont know. I'm kinda skeptical about that. Or just paranoid.

i would hook a mechanical gauge to the engine and see for sure what the psi is. could be your sending unit which gives the info to the gauge. common problem with this engine. could be a weak oil pump.
