Some people say it burns wires, kills opti's, it's the devil, etc. Don't listen to **** like that . I don't even see how it's possible. I've had one for about a year now and counting and never had a problem. Throttle response increase was noticed.

I've run one for over a year now, and the throttle response was nice and crisp with it installed. Go for it.

Ran one for years, no problems. With a 6a too, haven't fried any ignition components.

I like the MSD stuff! I'm using the MSD Blaster coil, MSD opti, Mallory 685 ignition box, along with NGK TR6's, and Taylor OTVC wires and my car does not miss a beat.

I have a blaster and a stock one and on a lab scope of the ignition pattern I couldnt see a difference so I do not see how it could burn up wires. ( though my opti did die while it was on the car lol )

I just put one my Z28, and noticed throttle response and a better idle/mpg. Also have the 8.5 wires. Go for it man, you can really lose with MSD, the coil swap is easy too.

If your stock coil isn't messed up I wouldn't worry about it, but if you think it's worn(or just want to buy another part) switch for the MSD.

I want to know more about this summit deal. I looked on their site and didn't see any info about it. Then, I tried putting some stuff in the cart and it didn't subtract $30 after I got over $100. Because, I want to get a few things (prothane engine and tranny mounts, blaster coil, and some new front brake pads)

Me too, except I'm using Moroso's Blue Max wires.
